"Impromptu in G-flat major, Op. 90, No. 3" by Schubert

The ending of one of my absolute favorite movements of all piano trios- the second movement of Franz Schubert's Piano Trio No. 2 in E-flat major, Op. 100. The way Schubert uses trills...gets me every time!

Schubert is one of my favorite composers, and this piece (Impromptu No. 3 in G-flat Major), which I was inspired to learn by a Duke student, is one I could play over and over and never get tired of. It’s also one of those pieces where, depending on the time of day and my mood, the tempo I choose varies widely. Sometimes I like to linger over it, and sometimes I like to let it flow. Here is one of my faster interpretations!

Fred Onovwerosuoke's Agbadza from his Twenty-Four Studies in African Rhythms

It's summer break so I finally have some time to go through some of my recordings.

So grateful to celebrate my dear teacher Gil Kalish’s belated 90th birthday with fellow Stony Brook alumni last week in NYC. His influence on my piano playing and teaching has been profound.

Ah Rhee Rang by Youngnan Park

Not sure if I have ever played two piano 6 hands before, this may have been a first for me in this configuration!

I can now check playing piano with a chopstick off my bucket list! 😂

Chopin-Liszt's Maiden's Wish with 0 audio edits because wrong notes are just a part of life. Come hear this piece on my recital today!

Thank you to Tedland Studio
