APPROACH

Teaching Philosophy

My primary goal as a teacher is to inspire a growth mindset, a love for music, and a strong musical foundation in my students. I guide students as they develop their own inner teacher and musician to gain confidence in their musical expressivity. I place particular emphasis on healthy piano technique, ensuring that students learn to play with ease and longevity.

I ask students to bring their best effort and to focus on learning effective strategies for practice, performance, and personal growth, building life skills that extend beyond piano. I strive to be a positive mentor and role model, demonstrating the discipline, curiosity, and passion I hope to inspire.

I believe a strong teacher–student relationship is essential to success. I work to maintain a supportive, open, and nurturing environment where goals are clear, feedback is honest, and questions are always welcome, even outside of lesson time. I encourage students to engage with music in ways that connect them to others.

The best way to determine if we are a good fit is to schedule an audition and interview. I look forward to supporting your musical journey.
